"Open Your Eyes Jeffrey" is based on a true story of a 27 year old aspiring ICU doctor from Houston whose dreams were shattered when somebody introduced illicit fentanyl into his life. Jeffrey suffered severe brain damage due to a lack of oxygen triggered by the fentanyl. For 16 months that spanned 9 hospitals, Jeffrey miraculously improved in ways nobody saw coming. However, the healthcare system would become his worst enemy. This documentary shows how far grieving parents will go to show unconditional love and support for their child.
